Basic Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 sticks butter, softened
3 c. sugar
5 eggs, at room temperature
3 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream butter until light.
Add sugar to butter gradually until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time and mix well.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Add flour and milk to the creamed batter, beginning and ending with the flour gradually.
Blend lemon and vanilla flavorings.
Pour batter into well-greased and floured cake.
