Stuffed Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. white raw mushrooms
    6 small green onions (including tops)
    6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
    4 oz. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
    1 small egg, beaten
Preparation
    Wash mushrooms; remove and save stems.
    Wipe mushroom caps with butter.
    Salt and pepper each of the buttered caps.
    Fry bacon and crumble finely.
    Chop green onions.
    Mince stems of mushrooms.
    Mix stems, bacon, bread crumbs and grated cheese together with 1 beaten egg.
    Stuff mushroom caps with stem mixture.
    Broil for 8 minutes in oven, until cheese melts.
    Serves 4 to 6 people.
