Mixed Fruit Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. dried apricots
    2/3 c. dried prunes
    6 c. water
    1 stick cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. raisins
    2 lemon slices
    2 Tbsp. tapioca
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 apple, peeled and sliced
Preparation
    Wash dried fruit and soak in cold water 1/2 hour.
    Add cinnamon stick, lemon slices, tapioca and sugar.
    Simmer, covered, until almost tender (about 10 minutes), stirring occasionally. Stir in raisins and apple slices and cook a little longer.
    Taste soup; if you wish a stronger flavor, add more sugar and/or lemon juice or add 2 tablespoons fruit syrup or grape juice.
