Cheddar Crisps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. grated extra sharp Cheddar cheese
1/4 lb. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
3/4 c. flour (more if needed)
beaten egg white (optional)
sesame seed, poppy seed or chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together with fingers.
Form dough into a 1 1/4-inch roll.
Chill.
Slice roll into 1/4-inch slices and arrange on cookie sheets.
Before baking, slices may be brushed with egg whites and sprinkled with sesame seed, poppy seed or chopped nuts.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
