Broccoli-Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    broccoli
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 onion, chopped
    garlic
    salt
    pepper
    3 c. chicken broth
    flour thickening
    4 to 6 oz. Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Separate flowerets from stems and place in a small saucepan with water.
    Cut up stems.
    Melt the butter and saute the onion, garlic, salt, pepper and cut up broccoli.
    Add the broth and cook for 30 minutes.
    Puree and return to pot.
    Thicken with flour and water paste.
    Stir in cheese.
    Meanwhile cook flowerets and stir them in and serve.
