Scalloped Ham And Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 small thinly sliced onions
    4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    2 c. cooked ham, chopped
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth.
    Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
    Stir in salt and pepper. Spoon 1/4 cup sauce into 8 x 12-inch dish.
    Layer potatoes, onions and sauce; add cheese and ham.
    Repeat layers.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Sprinkle remaining cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.
