Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 15 x 10-inch or 9 x 13-inch pan. In large bowl, beat brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Add molasses, vanilla and eggs; blend well.
    Lightly spoon flour in measuring cup; level off.
    Stir in oats, flour, baking soda and salt; blend well.
    Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Spread in pan.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until light brown and center is set.
    Cool; cut into bars.
