Oatmeal Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. quick cooking oats
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream the first 3 ingredients.
    Add the beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Sift the flour, baking soda and salt; add to cream mixture.
    Add the oats and walnuts.
    Form in long rolls.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Slice 1/4-inch thick.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 10 minutes.
    Keeps well.
