Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 or 6 green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. rice, cooked (2/3 c. raw)
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans Hunt's tomato sauce
Preparation
    Cut pepper in half lengthwise.
    Remove seeds and wash. Combine beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can Hunt's tomato sauce.
    Put mixture into peppers in large baking dish. Pour Hunt's tomato sauce over each pepper.
    Cover tightly and bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 1/4 hours or until peppers are tender, basting occasionally.
