Ingredients

hot water
1 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 tsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Warm metal mixing bowl in hot water, then empty bowl.
In warm bowl, place warm water and sprinkle dry yeast.
Let yeast set until dissolved.
Do not stir.
Add olive oil to yeast and water. Add salt to mixture.
Add flour to mixture.
Blend in mixture on low speed until flour is mixed.
Knead dough on floured surface until dough is not sticky.
(If using a mixer, at least 10 minutes.)
Add olive oil to bowl (just enough to coat dough). Cover dough and let stand in warm place for 1 hour.
Coat pizza pan or cookie sheet with olive oil and corn meal.
Corn meal makes bottom crust crisp.
Push with finger to shape of pan.
