Chicken Liver Pate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 onions, finely chopped
    1/2 lb. chicken livers
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1/2 c. butter
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Place in a saucepan 2 tablespoons butter and 2 onions (finely chopped). Cook slowly until the onions are soft.
    Add 1/2 pound chicken livers.
    Cook ten minutes.
    Place in a bowl.
    Mash with a fork or in a blender.
    Add to the pan juices 2 tablespoons dry sherry.
    Stir and scrape to get all the good brown bits; add to the liver.
    Cool.
    Cream 1/2 cup butter; stir in the liver. Season with salt.
    Add more sherry if needed.
    Place in a small bowl or crock; serve with crackers.
