Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. butter
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture reaches 310\u00b0 or hard crack on a candy thermometer.
    Spread on greased cookie sheet.
    Melt chocolate chips in double boiler.
    Spread on cooled candy.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Let harden and then break into pieces.
