Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together the shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs.
    Sift the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and stir in. Chill dough several hours.
    Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll balls in a mixture of the 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 until lightly browned but still soft.
    (They will puff up and then flatten with crinkled top.)
