Mulled Apple Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. apple cider
    10 whole cloves
    10 whole allspice
    4 (4-inch) sticks cinnamon
    1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove and discard spices; serve hot.
    Yields 2 quarts.
