Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. peppers, chopped
    4 eggs, chopped
    1 small onion, diced
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    8 to 10 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
    2 c. mayonnaise
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into bite size pieces and put into a large bowl. Layer rest of ingredients in order given.
    Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread on top.
    Top with grated cheese, cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours.
    Toss at serving time.
