Three Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can green beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can yellow wax beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans, drained
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients; set aside. In a quart jar, combine the remaining ingredients.
    Cover and shake thoroughly.
    Pour over the other ingredients.
    Mix together gently.
    Chill overnight or for several hours.
    Yields 6 to 8 portions.
