Shipwreck Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
2 medium size potatoes (uncooked), cut in thin rounds
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
1 c. onion, chopped
1 large can tomato juice or enough to cover
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Brown ground beef until done; salt and pepper to taste.
Place 1/2 of ground beef in bottom of large casserole.
Arrange a layer of potatoes over beef, a layer of kidney beans, sprinkle (washed) rice over beans, a layer of chopped onion, salt and pepper. Repeat each layer of potatoes, beans, rice and onion.
Use other half of beef for top.
Pour tomato juice over ingredients.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
