Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. raisins
    peeling from 1 orange
    1/2 c. shortening or butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Grind together raisins and orange peeling.
    Cream together shortening or butter, sugar and eggs, then add raisin and orange peel and nuts.
    In separate bowl, sift together flour and salt. Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Add alternately to the creamed mixture, the flour and milk mixture.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes in a greased loaf pan or a Bundt pan.
    Remove from oven and immediately add glaze.
