Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. onion, chopped (1 medium)
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. butter
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. fresh parsley, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. (scant) cayenne pepper
1 (7 oz.) pkg. frozen shrimp, thawed
fluffy rice
Preparation

In a skillet, saute onion, pepper and celery in butter until tender, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in tomato sauce, water, parsley, salt and pepper.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Add more water if needed.
Add thawed shrimp.
Bring mixture to a boil. Cook, covered, over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Serve Shrimp Creole over fluffy rice (your own recipe).
