Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    5 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    4 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add milk to egg, then add shortening.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Turn into well greased 6 x 10-inch pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
