Homemade Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 tsp. salt
    1 large clove garlic
    1/4 tsp. ground pepper
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 (14 oz.) can crushed tomatoes or puree
    1/2 c. white wine
    1/4 lb. small shell pasta
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 small carrot, diced
    2 green onions, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 small, unpeeled zucchini, cut in cubes
    4 or 5 leaves Swiss chard or romaine, chopped
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Cook beans, salt, garlic, pepper, oil, butter, water and tomatoes over low flame, stir.
    Prepare vegetables and add to pot. Cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Add wine and pasta.
    Simmer 10 or 15 minutes.
    Serve.
    Makes 10 servings.
