Huntington Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 hen (3 1/2 to 4 lb.)
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 pkg. egg noodles
    1 c. chopped pepper or pimento
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 lb. cheese
    2 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Cook chicken until tender; bone and cut in pieces.
    Drop noodles in boiling water and cook until tender, then drain.
    Cook onion, pepper and celery in chicken broth until tender.
    Thicken rest of broth with flour.
    Mix chicken, noodles and cooked vegetables together, then add mushroom soup and 3/4 of the cheese, salt and pepper.
    Mix enough of the broth to keep from being dry. Bake in well-greased casserole dish at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese just before serving.
