Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained and juice reserved
    2 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    1 c. Spanish peanuts
    4 or 5 Granny Smith apples
Preparation
    Mix marshmallows, drained pineapple and Cool Whip. Refrigerate overnight.
    In double boiler, heat juice, egg, flour, vinegar and sugar until thick, stirring constantly.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Mix 2 sauces together.
    Add apples and peanuts.
    Stir and serve.
