Oatmeal Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg (unbeaten)
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. rolled oats
    1/3 c. raisins
    1/3 c. chopped dates
    1/3 c. nuts
Preparation
    Combine first 7 ingredients and beat thoroughly.
    Sift flour with soda.
    Add to first mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix.
    Drop level tablespoon of dough on greased baking sheet.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
