California Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. 1/2-inch noodles
    1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    4 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 bunch onions, chopped (white and green)
    1/2 c. sliced black olives
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    In a large skillet, combine ground beef, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato sauce and paste.
    Bring to a boil, stirring to break up meat.
    Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles.
    Drain and toss with butter.
    Combine cream cheese, sour cream, onions and olives.
    Spoon about 1 cup meat mix in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Spread noodles evenly on top.
    Cover noodles with rest of meat mixture.
    Cover with Cheddar cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until heated through.
