Lindberg Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium carrots
    4 green peppers
    2 medium heads cabbage
    6 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white mustard seed
    4 red peppers
    6 onions
    1/2 c. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind carrots, peppers and onion on medium.
    Grind cabbage with a coarse knife.
    Add salt; cover with water.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Drain well.
    Add sugar, celery seed, mustard seed and vinegar.
    You may have to add more to cover.
    Do not cook.
    Put in glass jars.
    Keeps very well and is very good.
