Real Baked Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. ham
    cider to cover
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. mustard
    20 whole cloves
Preparation
    Cover the ham with cold water and bring slowly to a boil. Throw out the water and replace with the cider to cover ham.
    Bring this to a boil.
    Lower heat, keeping the liquid barely simmering for 20 minutes to the pound of ham.
    Remove from heat and allow to stand in the liquid for 30 minutes.
    Take out ham; skin it and score fat with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern.
    Stud with whole cloves.
    Mix the sugar and mustard; rub well into ham.
    Bake in a preheated oven for an additional 10 minutes to the pound in a 400\u00b0 oven.
    Carve; serve with sweet potatoes or a salad.
