Cola Roast - cooking recipe

1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 (4 to 5 lb.) bottom round beef roast*
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (10 oz.) can cola
1 (12 oz.) bottle chile sauce
1 scant tsp. Red Hot or Tabasco Sauce
