Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    In a bowl, cream together brown sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Add flour mixture to egg mixture; mix well.
    Add chocolate chips and nuts.
    Spread in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan or jelly roll pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
