Mother'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 c. flour
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening and both sugars.
Add flour, sifted with cream of tartar and soda.
Add vanilla last.
Roll in small balls and flatten with glass.
Sprinkle with sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.
(I sometimes roll mine; wrap and put in freezer until firm and then slice into cookies.)
Cook at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
