Ingredients

6 eggs
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter/margarine
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. coconut extract
3 c. sifted flour (cake)
1 c. milk
2 c. fresh or bought coconut
Preparation

Separate eggs, placing whites in a large bowl, yolks in another large bowl.
Let egg whites warm to room temperature (about 1 hour).
