Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. butter cake mix with pudding
    1 large box vanilla instant pudding
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 (21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
    1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Prepare cake according to directions and cool.
    Prepare pudding.
    Crumble half of the cake in bottom of punch bowl.
    Top with a layer of pudding, undrained pineapple, cherry filling, Cool Whip and nuts.
    Repeat all layers.
    Garnish with cherries if desired.
