Tommie Tabbs' Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, unbeaten
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Sift together the first five items; set aside.
    Cream together the shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
    Mix well.
    Form the dough into round spoon-size balls and roll them in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon, then place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    Serving size:
    2 to 3 dozen.
