Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Make a paste with coloring and cocoa.
    Add vinegar and milk.
    Sift salt, flour and soda.
    Add to mixture by blending (do not beat).
    After flour is added, add vanilla.
    Grease two 9-inch pans.
    Bake 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven. Cool and split layers, using thread.
