Cheesy Squash Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. squash (yellow)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. cream-style cottage cheese
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. cheese crackers, crushed
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cook sliced squash in a small amount of water until tender. Drain and set aside.
    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet; saute onion until tender.
    Remove from heat; add squash and next 3 items, mixing well.
    Spoon into lightly greased 2 quart baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until golden.
    Yields 6 servings.
