Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch broccoli
    1/2 c. sharp cheese
    1/2 c. salad dressing (mayo or Miracle Whip)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 red onion
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash broccoli with cold water; cut into small pieces, removing leaves and tough stems.
    Blanch broccoli, cooking and boiling in water for 1 minute, then immediately drain and plunge into ice water to cool.
    Cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Dice sharp cheese into small squares.
    Peel and chop red onion.
    Combine all ingredients, except bacon in mixing bowl.
