Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. water (boiling)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Scald oatmeal in water; let stand 20 minutes.
Mix
the sugars and shortening in separate bowl.
Stir in eggs.
Sift together the salt, flour, soda and cinnamon. Add sugar and egg mixture to dry ingredients, then add oatmeal and vanilla.
Mix thoroughly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
