Fried Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 1/2 c. cornflakes, crushed
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (peanuts, walnuts or pecans)
    1/2 c. flaked coconut
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened
Preparation
    Heat sugar and margarine in saucepan until melted.
    Add rest of ingredients, except ice cream.
    Stir well.
    Press 1/2 of mixture in an 11 x 7-inch pan (or 9 x 9-inch pan).
    Spread with ice cream.
    Top with rest of mixture.
    Freeze.
    Before serving, remove dessert from freezer approximately 20 minutes to soften slightly.
