Fresh Lemonade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lemons
    1 c. sugar (about)
    12 to 14 ice cubes
    water to make 1 1/2 quarts
Preparation
    Scrub lemons; roll on counter to soften slightly.
    Trim ends. Cut fruit into very thin slices; discard seeds.
    Place slices in a wide bottomed pitcher.
    Cover with sugar.
    Let stand until sugar starts to dissolve; press with a wooden spoon to hasten process. Add ice cubes and water; stir.
    Strain into glass.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
