Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
3 eggs, separated
1 c. coconut
2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 baked pie crust
Preparation

Heat
milk
to warm, not hot.
Mix sugar and cornstarch and add
slowly to milk, stirring and cook until hot.
Slowly stir
in the
well-beaten
egg
yolk.
Cook
until thickened, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in coconut and flavoring. Pour
into
crust
and top with meringue made from the egg whites. Sprinkle with coconut and brown in the oven.
