New Orleans' Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    4 beaten eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. melted butter
    24-inch day-old French bread, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon

    Optional 1 cup raisins added to custard mixture.
