Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs (unbeaten)
    2/3 c. buttermilk or 2/3 c. milk with 2 tsp. lemon juice
    2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. bananas, mashed
    2/3 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients, except bananas and walnuts. Turn into 2 paper lined pans (either 9-inch round cake pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool; frost with vanilla frosting.
