Ingredients

2 2/3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. molasses
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
Preparation

Sift together the flour, soda, baking powder, salt and ginger. In a separate bowl, blend molasses, brown sugar, butter and eggs. Stir dry ingredients into molasses mixture to form dough.
Chill in refrigerator 30 minutes.
Divide dough into 6 equal parts. Place each piece of dough in center of well-greased and floured pie pan, pressing to edges of pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Do not bake more than 20 minutes. Spread hot cake layers with Apple Filling and stack.
