Professional Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white Karo syrup
2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Have everything ready before starting to cook.
Combine syrup and sugar in a large, heavy skillet.
Just before the mixture begins to boil, add nuts.
Stir well with a wooden spoon until it is amber colored, about 30 minutes.
Then add butter.
After a few stirs, add soda and stir rapidly.
Spread quickly in a 10 x 13-inch buttered pan.
