Scalloped Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. squash
    1/4 stick margarine or butter
    1 medium or large onion
    salt and pepper
    flour
    milk
    Italian flavored bread crumbs
Preparation
    Slice squash in 1/4-inch slices.
    Line baking dish (casserole) with alternate rows of squash, onions, salt, pepper and about 2 teaspoons of flour for each layer.
    Salt and pepper should be used to taste.
    Dot each layer with butter after you place flour on top of layer.
    Cover with bread crumbs.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for approximately 3/4 hour.
    Check after 1/2 hour.
