Cucumber Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 peeled, sliced cucumbers
1/2 head chopped cabbage
1 sliced onion
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 tsp. celery seed
Preparation

Place cucumbers, cabbage and onion in large bowl.
Mix well in saucepan.
Heat oil, vinegar and sugar.
Heat just to boiling point.
Pour over vegetable mixture.
Sprinkle with celery seed. Mix well.
Chill 2 or 3 hours.
(Can add shredded red cabbage and shredded carrots.)
Serves 6 to 8.
