Old World Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter (room temperature)
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    6 eggs (room temperature)
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter and sugar, using electric mixer.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat after each addition.
    Sift flour with salt and baking soda.
    Add flour to butter mixture in 3 batches, alternating with sour cream, mixing well.
    Blend in vanilla.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake until top is light brown and tester inserted near center comes out clean, about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Cool completely and remove from pan.
