Lina'S Meat Loaf(Polpettone Alla Lina) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 lb. lean boiled ham, ground
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. flour
    1 whole clove garlic
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 tsp. dried rosemary leaves, crumbled
    2 bay leaves
    1 carrot
    1 stalk celery
    1 small onion
    6 sprigs fresh parsley
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, combine meat, ham, eggs, cheese, nutmeg, salt and pepper; mix well and shape into a roll 4 inches in diameter.
    Dredge in flour and place in a baking pan with garlic, butter, oil, rosemary and bay leaves.
    Over medium heat, brown roll on all sides.
    Finely chop the carrot, celery, onion and parsley; put into pan with meat roll.
    Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water and add to pan.
    Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting occasionally with pan juices.
    Serves 6.
