Linguini With Clam Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 Tbsp. flour
3 cans (6 1/2 oz.) minced clams
1/4 c. half and half
1/2 c. white wine
1/2 tsp. thyme
some red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 oz. Parmesan cheese
1 lb. linguini
Preparation

In large frying pan melt butter or margarine.
Add chopped garlic and cook until soft.
Stir in flour and cook over low heat 1 minute.
Gradually add clam liquid, half and half, wine, thyme and pepper flakes.\tBring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in clams, parsley, lemon juice and Parmesan cheese.
Heat thoroughly.
Add salt and pepper to taste.\tCook linguini.\tDrain well.
Pour sauce over pasta and mix gently.
