Swabian Maultaschen - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. flour
3 eggs
salt
1/2 onion
1 lb. bacon
1/2 lb. fresh spinach
1/2 lb. hamburger meat
1/4 c. water (approximately)
Preparation

Mix flour, salt, eggs and water to make a smooth dough.
Let sit for 1 hour.
Wash spinach and steam until soft.
Chop onion and dice bacon.
Saute onion with the bacon.
Mix spinach, hamburger, onion and bacon.
Roll out dough very thin and cut in 4 to 5-inch squares.
Put mixture in middle of the square and put another square on top.
Spread egg white around edges of bottom square and press top square with fork to make a pocket.
Boil some beef broth and put maultaschen in.
Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
